AHK-Cu is the copper(II) complex of the tripeptide alanine-histidine-lysine (Ala-His-Lys) and a structural relative of GHK-Cu. Supplied lyophilised for laboratory research.
Research Summary
AHK-Cu has been studied in in-vitro models using dermal papilla cells and fibroblasts, where researchers examined cell proliferation, apoptosis markers and extracellular matrix proteins. Ex-vivo models have been used to study its effects on hair follicle cycling. Its copper-binding chemistry is closely related to that of GHK-Cu, and the two are often compared in skin-biology research.
Storage and Handling
Store the sealed lyophilised vial at minus 20 degrees Celsius for long-term preservation, or 2 to 8 degrees Celsius for short-term storage. After reconstitution, store at 2 to 8 degrees Celsius and protect from light. Allow vials to equilibrate to room temperature before opening to limit condensation.
